Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. While the group was not successful in their home country of the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Following the split of the group in 1979, Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. Following vocal training, she launched her debut solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford was absent from the scene for a few years following both albums failed to gain much popularity. In 1988, Ford released her smash album "Lita". The lead single "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were huge hits. However, the popularity of her career was not long-lasting and for several years she went under the radar. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. The album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
