Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actress. She sings as well. Sara Ramirez was brought up with her American mother. She encountered a number of racial slurs and led her to feel unwelcome. It was in her ninth grade that she gained confidence after being highly praised during an audition. It not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed her career ambition. In 1992, she earned her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. In 1993 she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she appeared in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only her the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. The actress is also a renowned singer and has produced an extended show. In addition, she's a campaigner and has been active to promote LGBT rights.
